"Flat Bottom V" sharpening is coming to GB Sport Services. Effective August 25th, the Blackstone Flat Bottom V sharpening system will be available here at GB Sport Services.

Pricing for the Flat Bottom V sharpening will be $8.00/pair. There is an introductory price of $7.00 until September 25th. Come on by and give it a try.

I'm Baaaaack

We will be closed Friday, Sep. 2 thru Mon, Sep. 5 for the Labor Day weekend. Enjoy the end of summer.

I have returned from my sojourn and am back to the grind. Just a reminder that summer hours are 9am to 3pm Monday thru Thursday.

Regular hours (9am to 3pm Monday thru Friday) will resume on Sep. 6, 2011.

Northern Exposure

As many of you know, I am going on the trip of a lifetime to Alaska this summer. My college roommate and I will be riding our motorcycles to and around Alaska and back beginning June 3rd. I should return around July 23rd.

In the interim, Scott Schmunk of Advantage Sports will be available for skate sharpening. As he is not trained yet to contour skates, please take note that if you will need new blades or skates contoured, try to have them to me by May 25th to insure they will be done before I leave.

We will be closed Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2011.

Also, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 I have back treatments and will be closed that day. June 4, I will be leaving for Alaska and will return about July 23. Scott Schmunk will be available for skate sharpening while I am gone.

The Rumors are True!

On January 3, 2011 - GB Sport Services will be relocating to Advantage Sports

Advantage Sports is a new, full service sporting goods store opening soon in the old "Big Georges" building on Stadium Blvd. In addition to equipment sales, they will be doing uniform and team sales. Also, there will be a turfed area for coaches and players to have training sessions along with Kari Keil's skating treadmill and a synthetic ice surface.

GB Sport Services is excited about being a part of this new adventure and looks forward to serving our customers more fully.

GB Sportz is Ann Arbor's premiere skate sharpening and contouring facility. We pride ourselves in the quality and consistency or our work and strive to provide the best, most consistent edges in the area.

Geoff has extensive experience and has worked with some of the best athletes in the world. At the inception of the USA NTDP, Geoff provided all of the contouring services to both teams during the first two years of the program.

In addition, we have added John Winkelseth sharpening staff. I am sure he will continue to uphold the tradition of quality, consistent work.
